About Us

The University Health Network (UHN) is proud to present a rich and diverse website devoted entirely to nursing. The Nursing Channel has been created by and for nurses and other healthcare professionals, but will also appeal to patients and the general public.

Nursing experience has traditionally been passed on through storytelling, usually through a verbal interaction in which a particular situation or experience is shared. The Nursing Channel will use a variety of multimedia formats such as video, photography and audio, to tell these stories.

New programs will be developed and launched each month. Some programs will be interactive allowing you to choose your path through the experience and others will be movie- or TV-like where you select the program and it runs automatically.

Cathy Johnson
Project Manager

Cathy has been a Project Manager in Nursing Informatics for 7 years primarily specializing in the application of web-based technologies for nurses in order to promote the profession and facilitate the exchange and sharing of information.

Nicholas Brudnicki
Interactive Designer

Nicholas is a Web and Multimedia Design Specialist and has been developing web sites for 11 years. His work in Web, graphic, and interactive multimedia design has led to recognition for cutting edge communication media.
